In this episode we explore what it takes to become a mindful speaker. This is someone who is cognizant of both their body and voice while simultaneously delivering good content with their presentation. 

Your body is your instrument to help the audience stay engaged in the message. In turn, this will help them to remember the content and do something with the information. I give tips and suggestions for body placement, gestures, hands, pacing, and more so you can become a well-rounded, complete, mindful speaker.

Dr. Jim Van Allan is a speaker & trainer for schools and companies across the nation. He has over a decade worth of experience helping individuals and organizations with communication, leadership, and personal development skills. He is also a Professor of Communication Studies and teaches classes on communication, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.

He's also a family man and lives with his wife and two boys in South Florida.
